In years past, parents have participated in many ways. In 1997, to better accomodate the needs of parents and students, a decision was made to develop a state wide chapter of "The Phi Gamma Delta Parents Club." This year we took another step by creating the FIJI Parents Facebook Group and encourage all parents to join the group. For more information on how to access this Facebook group ask your son or our housemom, Pat Engelhard.

The Parents Club is an auxiliary unit of the fraternity that supports their sons in their college years. Projects in the past have included purchasing a grandfather clock, television, and redecorating the ladies restroom, as well as a complete redesign of the look and feel of the first floor living area including couches, area carpets and prep team work for refinishing the wood floors and removing old carpet. Each year we try to have a spring or fall clean up day where the families and members work together to make small project improvements to the Fiji Home.

Previously the Parents Club has been organized into five groups; an "Interior Committee", and "Outside and Landscape Committee", a "New Parents Iinformational Group" - parents of active members provide advice to those just starting out, a "Fundraising Committee", and a "Social Committee" to organize social activities for parents to meet.
